šŸ‚ Blow a Little Cinnamon, Invite a Little Abundance

Let me teach y’all something my Grandma taught me… or you may have already but not the origin

Apparently, the first of the month isn't only about paying bills, cleaning the house, starting a new budget, and pretending we're going to keep the house spotless for the next 30 days. šŸ˜‚šŸ§¹

There is a cinnamon ritual that says the first day of the month is the perfect time to blow cinnamon through your front door and invite prosperity, abundance, good luck, and positive energy into your home.

Now listen…you know me.

I'm always fascinated by the little traditions, rituals, beliefs, and superstitions people carry with them. I don't necessarily believe every single thing literally, but I love the intention behind it.

And this one?

I'm here for it. 🧔✨

šŸ” So What Are We Supposed to Do?

On the first day of the month, you take a little ground cinnamon and stand outside your front door.

Put a small amount in the palm of your hand, face your home, and before you blow it inside, set your intention.

You might say something like:

ā€œWhen this cinnamon blows, prosperity will enter. When this cinnamon blows, abundance will come in.ā€

Then…

BLOW! šŸ’ØāœØ

Send that cinnamon right across your threshold and into your home.

The symbolism is pretty beautiful when you think about it.

You're standing outside the place where you live, looking inward, and intentionally saying:

I am welcoming abundance into my life.

And honestly, I think there's something powerful about physically doing something that represents what you want to invite into your life.

🌿 But Where Did This Come From?

Now here's where I had to do a little digging because the internet loves to turn every interesting ritual into an ā€œancient tradition.ā€

The specific first-of-the-month cinnamon-blowing ritual doesn't appear to have one clearly documented historical origin.

So I'm not going to tell you that your great-great-great-grandmother was standing outside her house every first of the month blowing cinnamon through the doorway. šŸ˜‚

Instead, it's better understood as a modern folk or spiritual practice that draws on much older associations surrounding cinnamon.

Cinnamon has been used across cultures for centuries in food, religious practices, traditional medicine, fragrance, and other rituals. Over time, it has developed associations with things like warmth, prosperity, protection, good fortune, and abundance.

And somewhere along the way, somebody apparently decided:

ā€œYou know what? Let's blow it through the front door.ā€ šŸ˜‚

And here we are.

✨ But Here's How I Look At It

Whether you believe cinnamon actually attracts money or not isn't really the point for me.

I love the ritual of intention.

Because sometimes we need something physical to remind us of what we're trying to create mentally.

So for me:

🧔 Cinnamon represents abundance.

🚪 The front door represents opportunity entering my life.

šŸ’Ø Blowing the cinnamon inside represents actively welcoming it.

šŸ“… The first of the month represents a fresh start.

And suddenly, something as simple as blowing a little spice across your threshold becomes a monthly reminder to stop and ask yourself:

What am I inviting into my life this month?

More money?

More creativity?

More love?

More peace?

More opportunities?

More travel?

More laughter?

More purpose?

More time for yourself?

Maybe it's not about magically making those things appear.

Maybe it's about setting your intention so you're more conscious of the opportunities to create them.

🧹 And Yes… I'm Still Cleaning My House!

Because let's be clear…

I'm not choosing between cinnamon and cleaning. šŸ˜‚

I'm doing BOTH.

I'm going to sweep out the things I don't need, clean up the energy in my space, organize what has gotten chaotic, and then I'm going to stand at that front door and say:

ā€œOkay universe…I'm making room. Now let's see what we're bringing in.ā€ 🧔✨

Because sometimes the fresh start isn't about waiting for something magical to happen.

Sometimes it's about making space for something new.

So if you see me outside my front door on the first of the month blowing cinnamon into my house…

Mind your business. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I'm manifesting.

And if nothing else, my house is going to smell AMAZING.

✨ Happy First of the Month, my loves.

May this month bring you abundance, opportunity, peace, purpose, good health, beautiful experiences, and plenty of reasons to smile.

Now go figure out what YOU want to invite through your door. šŸ§”šŸ”āœØ
