A Poem-

Pictured above⬆️

Silly Daddy, Trick just wants to date Kids

There once was a man with a hot quarter slapped face,
that looked a chewed used up pencil eraser.

One hit wonder rapper from the 90’s but we don’t know that nigga.

We all know Trina her career was so much bigger

He’d rant on the ‘net with crust under his eyes.

He’s just mad and he’s upset thinking of his careers demise
Over 35? he said as a gut punch to the ladies
They’re damaged, and ran through and old AF Just like the 80’s

But OH, Mr. Trick Daddy, with your bitter-baked tone,
Your spirit is dusty, your status unknown.
You look like a red cabbage in a garbage disposal drain,
Like leftover tapeworm that clogged up your brain.

You speak on fine women who've weathered the storm,
Take off your hat you look like a ashy foot bunion corn

We glow with our wisdom, our sass, and our groove
while you look like dirty bubble gum on the bottom of shoes.

We build up our queendoms, while you cry your blues
You pace in a Queens shadow wishing you were Uncle Luke
You get no real respect, you’re not a real man you’re a dupe
You insult what you had. But can’t hold a real woman in your heart

So quit acting like your the shit, cause you not even a fart,
Your shallow misogynistic impressions impress…
no one but trolls who live on the net
And women who love themselves never forget:

We’re not “damaged goods,” we’re designer divine.
Refined like a wine, not expired like you swine.
So next time you speak on a queen’s worth or glow,
Please check your own reflection it’s screaming,

naa nigga You KNOW

I create soft-life luxury lifestyles products for Black women and women of color encouraging us to live life on our own terms with ease, beauty, and power. As an artist, poetry is just one outlet of my creativity. I wrote this piece as a direct response to the bitterness and internalized hate some men express toward Black women especially as we gracefully age. Let’s be real: I highly doubt he’d speak this way about any other culture of women, or be accepted in any circles where this kind of behavior is considered respectable. This wasn’t just a poem it was a clapback from a 47 year old. I don’t only believe this rhetoric is damaging. It’s both unnecessary and immature to treat ageism as a personality trait or social currency.

Degrading women for aging especially Black women isn’t edgy, it’s lazy.

There’s no honor in disrespecting the very women who carry culture, resilience, and grace into every decade of their lives.

Real men evolve. Boys throw shade.Over 35 year old Artists write clapback poetry.
