The Journey That Changed My Life Choosing Health, Purpose, and Growth

I don't have to remind you that life isn't perfect. We all experience setbacks, unexpected detours, heartbreak, and moments where we question whether we're on the right path. While life is certainly what you make of it, sometimes we need a little reassurance that we're not alone. Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing videos and resources that have inspired me and helped explain why I'm on the path I'm walking today.
This journey didn't happen overnight. It came from asking hard questions, changing old habits, and making the decision to become intentional about every area of my life.
Health Comes First
If there's one thing I've learned, it's this: your health has to come first.
No amount of success, money, or achievement matters if you don't have the energy to enjoy it. That's one of the biggest reasons I created my workout app to help people get back into the habit of moving their bodies and taking care of themselves one day at a time.
Movement doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to become part of your lifestyle.
Another investment I'd encourage everyone to make is a juicer. It doesn't have to be expensive. What surprises me most is how much perfectly usable food ends up in the trash every single day.
Just recently, I delivered breakfast to a new mom. She only wanted the orange juice, leaving the fruit behind. It made me think about how much food we waste, especially here in America.
I've become the person who's not embarrassed to ask for what others consider "food scraps." Pineapple rinds, onion skins, melon rinds, cucumber peels, strawberry tops things most people throw away without a second thought.
I dehydrate them, boil them into broths and teas, juice them, compost what I can't use, and save the pulp whenever possible. My long-term goal is to bottle many of these creations for my farm stand while also building a pantry full of shelf-stable products for my family.
I'm embracing the mindset of the worker ant using every resource wisely, preparing for the future, and wasting as little as possible.
Learning More Than Anatomy
Outside of my "Grow to Glow Up" journey, I decided I wanted to understand the human body on a much deeper level.
Since beginning my studies in anatomy for my radiology program, I've noticed something that completely caught me off guard.
The physiology of the body seems to mirror many of the ideas found in spiritual teachings about the connection between the mind, body, soul, and even the chakra system.
Whether you personally believe in chakras or not isn't really the point.
What struck me was how interconnected everything truly is.
Our physical health affects our emotions. Our emotions influence our bodies. Stress changes our physiology. Healing often requires more than medicine it requires reflection, rest, forgiveness, and purpose.
There were moments when I wanted to break down and cry because I realized there were truths I'd been avoiding simply because I worried they might conflict with beliefs I'd held for years.
Instead of avoiding those questions, I've chosen to reexamine them.
I've also started embracing my own version of divine femininity not as a trend, but as learning to trust my intuition, creativity, compassion, and strength.
Sometimes your calling isn't something new.
Sometimes it's the part of yourself you've been avoiding all along.
Stop Waiting to Be Ready
One lesson I've had to learn and one I've shared with friends is that you have to put yourself out there.
I have a friend with incredible products and amazing talent. She's naturally introverted, and to her, her business has always been "just a side hustle."
But if you never decide what success actually looks like, how will you know when you've reached it?
Have you written down your income goals?
Have you planned for growth?
Have you prepared yourself mentally for serving more customers?
Opportunities don't just appear because we're talented.
We have to prepare ourselves to receive them.
Building the Life I Prayed For
Like so many people, I wanted more from life.
The difference came when I stopped wishing and started organizing.
I created lists.
I broke every goal down into categories based on importance and priority.
Once everything was written down, the excuses became harder to justify.
Today, I'm incredibly grateful for the life I'm continuing to build.
I'm blessed with a relationship that brings me peace, stability, and genuine joy.
I have a business that allows me to stay creative, curious, and excited about every new idea.
And I have a career that gives me the opportunity to serve others while pursuing the dreams I've prayed about for years.
None of it happened by accident.
It happened because I chose consistency over perfection.
Behind the Scenes
During my recent days off, I completely revamped my website. I'm still searching for the right Shopify support team to help me continue improving the experience, but progress is progress.
At the same time, life has reminded me what truly matters.
I've also been helping care for my boyfriend's mother during a confusing and difficult season. Being present for the people we love is every bit as important as building a business.
Success means very little if we don't have compassion.
Taking My Own Advice
One of the biggest milestones I'm celebrating is that my workout platform is now available as an app on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.
I've added exclusive member-only features that won't be available on the website because I want to continue creating value for the people who choose to support my journey.
As I continue building my lifestyle brand as a creator, entrepreneur, and influencer, I've decided to stop hiding behind perfection.
I'm sharing every part of my business journey the wins, the failures, the awkward moments, the lessons, and yes... even the cringe-worthy marketing posts.
Because if I'm going to encourage others to chase their dreams, I have to be willing to do the same.
I'm choosing to lead by example.
To show up consistently.
To build in public.
To grow without apology.
If my journey inspires even one person to take better care of themselves, pursue a dream they've been putting off, or simply believe that change is possible, then every vulnerable moment has been worth it.
This is only the beginning.
